And what a performance it was last night by the 6’5, 205 lb. Miami Heat small forward. I’d almost venture to say it was a One Man Show. And I’m hoping he’s taking up a long, Celine Dion-esque residency, because I could watch that talent over and over again.
Yes, Caleb Martin. The un-drafted 26 year old who last year played for the Greensboro Swarm.
Last night, Caleb was no understudy – he showed up in Spo’s starting 5 and dazzled us on both offense and defense. With new-found confidence, he fired in eight 3-pointers from all points of the arc and delighted the Miami fans. But, it was half way through the third that he brought us to our feet with an All-Star worthy, aerial slam dunk. Bravo! Bravo for stepping up, throwing the team on your back, and playing with heart and passion so embedded in Heat Nation. Not only did Martin get the packed stadium rocking but his teammates too. It was nip and tuck most of the game, both teams trading baskets, but Kyle Lowry and PJ Tucker added their star power at the critical end of the the 3Q and Max Strus absolutely lit it up with sixteen 4Q points that made the whole evening Oscar worthy.
We are all missing Jimmy and Bam and Markieff, but often adversity brings opportunity and Spo, better than anyone, knows how to maximize his full cast. Caleb, keep it up… the court is your stage.
Brennen is back and reviews the playoffs thus far and talks about the current state of the Heat, and what to watch for following a tough Game 2 loss against the Boston Celtics.

The Mets are in Colorado to face the Rockies in a 3-game series. The weather in Denver is expected to be cold all weekend, with temperatures in the 30s. The two teams met 7 times last season, with the Mets winning 5 of the 7 games. After this weekend, the next time the Mets and Rockies will see each other is in August for a 4-game series at Citi Field.

(Promo Code: 6A2841ERJC) When it gets a point where a single loss will leave you ranting on social media, I’d say things are going pretty well. After taking the first half of the series on Monday & Tuesday, the Yankees “only” split the next two games for the series win.
