Giants Versus Marlins Game One Preview

Opening day has come and gone today, but the San Francisco Giants were not one of the teams to participate. Their time comes tomorrow when they will face the Miami Marlins at Oracle Park at 3:35 PM (CT).
The Giants concluded Spring Training on Tuesday with a tie between the Oakland Athletics that saw the score to be 7-7. Disregarding that game, the Giants had an 8-7 overall record during Spring Training.
Some of the standouts from Spring Training were Thairo Estrada (.400, 2 HR, 6 RBIs), Joey Bart (.367, 3 HR, 9 RBIs), and Luis Gonzalez (.476, 1 HR, 6 RBIs). As of right now, Bart is slated as the starting catcher for the Giants on the depth chart, so seeing him perform this well this spring should please Giants fans. Bart has big shoes to fill with the retirement of San Francisco Giants legend Buster Posey at the conclusion of the season last year.
