January Transfer Speculation

Another transfer window and no shortage of speculation. Here are some of my thoughts on what Tottenham could use and what would be available.

First, who might be leaving. From the eight games we have seen so far with Conte, it appears that Dele and Ndombele have both have limited minutes and don’t seem to be working into Conte’s future plans for the Spurs. Both players have talent, and in the right situation they could do very well. It appears that former manager Pochettino would like to have Ndombele at PSG. I think that this would be a good move for both clubs, as well as Ndombele.

Dele has loads of talent, and under Pochettino looked like an up and coming star in England. Initially things looked promising under Mourinho, but they soured, and under Conte, Dele still hasn’t seemed to find his earlier form. Newcastle, with lots of money to throw around and anxious to avoid relegation, is said to have an interest in Dele. Like the Ndombele, this seems to be a good move for Dele and Newcastle, and with little playing time available at Tottenham, probably a good move.

I think Spurs currently have four needs. First, the back line still seems suspect. But with Romero coming back later in the season, Sanchez, Dier and Davies/Tanganga seen to be holding down the fort. Since Rodon has had no real playing time and Newcastle has shown an interest, he is probably gone.
