It’s clear as day that the NCAA men’s basketball National Championship game did not end the way the Tar Heels would’ve liked it to but there’s a lot more to look at within this team and here’s why.

Falling short to Kansas 72-69 after blowing a 16-point lead is real low blow for the Tar Heels but there’s no time stay down nor panic, and here’s why …

At least 4 out of the 5 starters from this year’s team will be returning for this upcoming season. Players such as Caleb Love, R.J Davis, Leaky Black, Armando Bacon will be returning for the 2022-2023 season.

The only unfortuntate part is that senior Brady Manek will be the only player from this year’s team not returning due to this being his fifth year in the NCAA.

Some will say that this season was a “fluke” for the Tar Heels to make it as far as they did due to them sneaking in the tournament as the 8th-9th seed but there’s more to this team that those people think. This is something that this team has shown this year, especially in this past NCAA basketball tournament.

The Tar Heels finished this season with a 29-10 record overall, 15-5 record in the ACC conference, and in the process they finished 5-1 in this past NCAA tournament.

Don’t look now Tar Heel fans, but your team could be holding another NCAA National Championship trophy sooner rather than later.
